About Me
Hi, I’m Emma.
At the end of 2021, I made the decision to step away from the travel industry. This time away gave me the opportunity to slow down, reset, and re-evaluate what was important to me. I’ve really missed the connections and excitement that travel brings, so I’m excited to say – I’m back!
Based in the Waikato, I work remotely from my home office. I’m enjoying the flexibility that this role offers – it allows me to not be restricted by office hours.
I’ve been fortunate to grow up in a family that loves to travel – it’s always been a huge part of my life, and I can easily say it’s my favourite hobby. In 2018, wanting more out of life, I left my corporate job to go do my OE. It was my first really big trip, spending two months exploring Greece, Italy and Croatia in depth, with a 3-night stopover in Dubai. Coming home with first-hand knowledge and passion, I started my career in the travel industry with House of Travel.
My personal travel favours longer, more immersive journeys where I can get off the beaten track and discover hidden gems. My absolute favourite country is Greece – the people, incredible food and breathtaking scenery.
Joining the team at Travel Advocates as a Personal Travel Manager has been great. I’m backed by an amazing, knowledgeable team – including some familiar faces from my House of Travel days. I can still access the same incredible deals and suppliers as I could before but with a whole lot more flexibility.
